AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Tripura High Court on Monday has launched E-Court system to facilitate the common people to check the case status via online. Chief Justice T Vaiphei appreciated Justice Subashish Talapatra for proper initiatives.
Any person by putting the case number and the dates will be able to check the hearing. They do not have to depend upon the media in between.
In this way the judgment / hearing will be on-hand via online.
CM Manik Sarkar inaugurated the programme at Tripura High Court.
The e- Courts project has been conceptualized on the basis of the “ National policy and Action plan for lmplementation of information and communication technology (ICT) in the Indian Judiciary – 2005”submitted by eCommittee (Supreme Court of India), with a vision to transform the Indian Judiciary by ICT enablement of Courts.
The e- Courts scheme aims ICT enablement of the lower courts across the country in their functioning. The project envisages deployment of hardware, software and networking to assist district and taluka courts in streamlining their day to day functioning, key functions such as , case filing, allocation, registration, case workflow, orders and judgments is IT- enabled. Cause-list, Case status, orders,Judgments are available on the web and made accessible to litigants , advocates, and general public.
