AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): Demanding road repairing, local auto drivers hit Agartala-Bamutia road on Friday morning at Gandhigram.

The road blockade continued more than 2 hours  at Agartala-Bamutia road.

The agitators said that the demand of road repairing is since one year, but even after multiple complaints, protests the authorities yet in slumber and not interested to take any action.

Moreover, some of the big trees on road side are left in risky condition and  anytime may fell down. This complaint was also given time to time.

However, seeing no development of the issue, the locals on Friday sat in protest with a road blockade for more than hours.

Later SDM S Choudhury came and controlled the angry public, promising them about sooner recovery of the road.
