AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): Non-Resident-of-India NRI Saumen Sarkar serving at America since around 20 years on the special field of Cyber Crime Intelligence & Telecommunication, surprisingly being living 24 hours in a digital world opposed the too much involvement in social media like facebook, twitter and hunting for friends. "In our times even though mobile phones were not in hands, but we still had strong bonding with our friends. That was the time when everything was more closer, connected to heart rather meaningless counterfeit chatting, connectivity via social media", said Sarkar. PB-24 journalist Prasenjit Saha asked Saumen Sarkar during the show, "Before 20 years Tripura and Today Tripura... in these gap what are the changes have been made or which things calls back you to Tripura ? In reply, Sarkar said, "Well before 20 years people in Tripura were very accommodating, exchanging pleasantries when they meet each-other. I think it was much more real in our time. I still remember, in 1983 when India won world cup there were only 2 Televisions in our area and we all enjoyed together the match in black and white screen.. that was great !"

"So that was the time, when cooperation among the people were very much evident in compare to this time. But today due to population has been increased, opportunities downed things are getting changed".

"Today due to competition the tension has increased more and with the invent of social media the relations have been shifted from physical world to virtual world. As a result, people have become self-centered.. what happens in big cities. Known people are not talking when they meet physically, not exchanging smiles, talks with each other...but still I believe Tripura is one of the best places in India", Sarkar told PB24.

"I move across India and I believe Tripura has enormous talent, girls and boys here highly intelligent. Living in a small state we have talents shining at Olympic level....so I believe Tripura developed a lot in 20 years", said Sarkar.

"But what Tripura lost in this 20 years is its greenery. Greenery coverage has been minimized as well as pollution has increased and temperature has increased 10 % more. Eventhough these things are natural, but you have tackle such things".
