Sitaram Yechury beaten 2 days after his Anti-Nationalist remark : CPI-M hits Agartala streets with protest roars

AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Just 2 days after Sitaram Yechury, Prakash Karat delivered their anti-nationalist remarks against Indian army protesting the army led firing at Kashmir and some farmer related issues, the alleged riots via social media, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury was beaten at New Delhi on Wednesday after the completion of politburo meeting. A group of four people tried to manhandle Sitaram Yechury at the AKG Bhavan in the national capital on Wednesday afternoon. The police have nabbed two of the attackers. The miscreants attacked Yechury as he was entering the third floor of the building to attend a press meet. Yehcury fell down but did not sustain any injuries. Sitaram Yechury in his Social media asked why Indian Army is replying to 'stone-throwing' with bullets. However, it was the ending of politburo meeting where Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar also joined. Attack upon Sitram Yechury's at New Delhi generated roars o protests across India.

Sitaram yechury was also alleged for creating unnecessary violence with the banner of farmers’ protests in Twitter, Facebook. 

At Agartala CPI-M organized a massive protest rally condemning the attack. This evening rally at the Capital City was led by hundreds of angry Communists leaders including Veteran leaders like Gotam Das. 

CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury was on Wednesday manhandled during a press briefing in the national capital, ANI reported.

Minutes after the incident, Yechury said that he is fighting "the battle for the soul of India and won't cowed down by Sangh's goondagardi."

"We will not be cowed down by any attempts of Sangh's goondagardi to silence us. This is a battle for the soul of India, which we will win," he tweeted.

All these continuous tweets of Yechury led the incident, intellectuals saying. 

Earlier, two people allegedly barged into the CPI(M) head office and shouted slogans against the left leader. The men also raised slogans of 'Hindu Sena zindabad' and 'CPI(M) murdabad'.

Incidentally, party general secretary Sitaram Yechury was about to enter the party's central committee meeting hall on the first floor of the office to brief the media.

"The event witnessed a high drama as there was complete mayhem created by the miscreants, Upendra Kumar and Pawan Kaul of Hindu Sena, when they tried to disrupt the press conference," a senior police official said, adding that the miscreants have been detained and further investigations are underway.

Recently Yechury Posted in his social media : “Is firing the only response to all protests in the BJP regime? Plus Internet shutdowns and clampdown on information. Internet shutdown. Without NaMo app, how will farmers convey grievances to the silent PM, who's only concerned about deaths in foreign lands?”
