AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty although met the B.Ed final year students regarding 14,000 vacant posts eligibility but nothing was cleared by the Minister. The demand of the B.Ed final year student was from the Govt to extend the last date of filling up the application upto July 31st so that the final year students gets their marksheets in hands, but after multiple agitations shown by the agitators, the Minister although met the students but remained cold to give any response, neither he said clearly ‘yes’ or ‘no’ about their demands, following the traditional diplomacy of the left front govt. After the massive teacher recruitment corruption held since 2010 in Tripura was exposed, Supreme Court cancelling 10,323 Tripura Teachers’ jobs asked the state govt to fill up the vacancies with 31st Dec, 2017 whereas the recruitment process must be begun within May-31st. However, following that order Tripura Govt for the first time announced a massive number of vacant posts, which may stop huge number of recruitments in teaching posts for next many years, but the undergoing B.Ed students yet to get their mark-sheets and thus they asked for consideration so that they can atleast sit in TET as their result will be in hand in next 2 months.

It was on May-29 first that the Undergoing B.Ed students demanded date extension for the application filling up. Tripura's ongoing fresh B.Ed students just for few months of gap in between their College result out and the Govt's TET interview form submission's last date would not be able to sit in the interview, but being worried about whether in coming future such a huge job advertisement would be published by Tripura Govt, the agitated ongoing B.Ed candidates gheraoed Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty's house on May-29. But they failed to meet the Education Minister.

The next protest was held on yesterday that amidst heavy rainfall in the morning, the B.Ed undergoing unemployed youths in demand of permission to sit in upcoming TET Examination for 14,000 posts have been gheraoed Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty’s residence. But unfortunately Tapan Chakraborty went out to attend few programmes at Kailashahar.

On the same day after B.Ed undergoing students failed to meet the Education Minister in the morning at his residence, the agitators gheraoed Higher Education Office and locked the main gate. Sadar SDM S. Choudhury tried to manage the situation asking the students to hold peace but the agitators were unready to unlock the gate unless their demands are fulfilled that created a massive chaos infront of Higher Education Office.

However, on Friday once again the B.Ed candidates gheraoed Tapan Chakraborty's residence since morning but later  at 11.30 AM ant three of them were called in Secretariat to meet the Minister. Now the whole thing depends upon what the Minister tells them.
