BISHALGARH, May 23 (TIWN): Witnessing no arrest of the culprits who allegedly had beaten a BJP woman in broad day light, BJP women morcha blocked National Highway at Bishalgharh on Tuesday.

One BJP supporter Ratna Das, was beaten by 3 persons at Jangalia, but even after FIR was lodged at Bishalgarh Police Station, no arrest was done which created much anger among the BJP women members.

The 3 accused have been identified as Ratan Das, S/O-Sanjib Das, Anjana Das, W/O-Ratan das, Sabita Das, W/O-Shankar Das.

BJP held the protest led by Michil Sadhan Debnath, Sepahjala Observer, Anjan Puro Kayasto, Dist President, Minority leader Radhika Khatung.

More than 100 BJP activists had blocked the National Highway for hours that created much traffic jam.

However, SDPO Prabir Pal rushed to the spot and sought 48 hours to arrest the accused persons.
