AGARTALA, May 18 (TIWN): Even though 2 rape incidents took place in last 48 hours and one of them was murdered after rape, but Nari Samiti is quite silent about such issues. From Anuara murder to Dharmanagar Bina murder no case was handled by police in fair manner due to political pressures, yet CPI-M backed Nari Samiti busy with pointless protests about Hyderabad rape incident, to prove ‘Tripura is the most peaceful state in India’ and how much women are safe here.

A 31 years housewife who was also a constant dowry victim was raped and murdered at Sonamura, found with severe injuries on her body. Her jwelleries, hand-rings all were broken with proves of various tortures upon her while murdering her brutally. Apart from that a 15 years girl was raped at Udaipur on May 16. Allegation came that neighbor DhakarsonMarak (18) entered the home and taking the opportunity of empty home raped her. Later she was admitted in hospital in serious condition, but Tripura leading women association NariSamiti is utter silent as if enjoying silently.

Crime against women reached 86 % in Tripura, whereas the number of justice received are almost nil. Anuara’s case was an exact example of it, when only one accused was arrested after 1 month of passage following more than 20 protests. Why getting justice is so tough in state, the question is raising again and again. 

But when the whole state was demanding proper inquiry SFI’s double role was trying to propagate that digging her body was 'not correct', just to get Muslim Vote Banks.

There was total 446 crime against women only in last 6 months. In July 2016 total 21 rape case were registered, in 2016 August total 22 cases, in 2016 Sept 19 cases, in 2016 Oct 16, November 15, December 18 and in January 17.

Apart from that including all kinds of crime against women as dowry deaths, molestation etc. in July 2016 total cases registered 63, in 2016 August total 82 cases, in 2016 Sept 69 cases, in 2016 Oct 68, November 65, December 61 and in January 58.

Among them 130 rape cases among them 68 were minors and 47 were adults.
