Agartala, May 16 (TIWN): Residents of Tripura, who were reeling under the heat, received some respite in the form of pre-monsoon showers across the city on Monday.

Monday late night heavy showers,high winds brought relief to lakhs of households.

Even as the overall temperature of the city dropped by 2 to 5 degree Celsius due to the rain, officials of the Indian Meterological Department (IMD) are predicting more showers on Tuesday.
