AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): Body of Martyr Amal Sarkar, who was serving as SSB soldier under No.15 Btln, killed by NDFB terrorists at Assam Kokrajhar on Tuesday has brought at Agartala Airport via Indigo flight at 12. 25 PM on Thursday. From Airport after paying floral tributes, the martyr's body was taken to his home town Baikhora at Santir Bazaar by road, where his old parents, little daughters and wife have been waiting to say the last 'Good Bye' to this brave soul. DM West, Millind Ramtake, SDM S Chowdhury, SSB DIG Sourav Tripathi, SP Abhijit Saptarshi also paid tribute, salute to his coffined body. The country is attacking by terrorists either home produced or from Pakistan like countries but the sacrifice of the jawans end with political blame games. However, before Amal sarkar 2 more Jawans Shambhu Satmura, Chittaranjan Debbarma sacrificed lives for nation, also from Tripura.

Some politicians for political gains comment on NE terrorism threats that due to central govt's deprivation such things happen and terrorist groups emerge in Northeast India, and on the hand Defence yet to launch Remote Video Surveillance System like US, which has been the cause of soldiers deaths.

Being the CM of a small state Chief Minister could remain present at Agartala Airport, but he was not like Martyr Shambhu Satmura and Martyr Chitaranjan Debbarma's time. Hence, representing the Cabinet Naresh Jamatia visited Chitaranjan Debbarma's home, but giving the martyr red-salute that Minister created a controversy later.

It's worthy to mention here that a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Sub-Inspector and a suspected NDFB(S) militant were on Tuesday killed in an encounter in the Chirang district of Assam. According to officials, Sub-Inspector Amal Sarkar was killed after a joint team of the 156th battalion of the SSB, Army and local police engaged in a gun battle in the forests around Manas wildlife sanctuary in the district around 2:30 pm.

They said that an unidentified terrorist of the banned organisation NDFB(S) has also been killed in the encounter. The troops had embarked on operations early in the morning and the incident spot is near the Dhaula border post of the SSB, the paramilitary that guards the Indian frontier with Bhutan.

The security forces have recovered an INSAS rifle from the encounter site and efforts are being made to recover the body of the militant, the officials said. “A cordon and search operation has been launched in the area by the joint forces,” a senior officer said. The operation is still going on with other security forces to nab the militants.

Sarkar alone had fired 35 bullets on the militants and neutralized one and injured two others. SSB Director  Archana Ramasundaram in her condolence message said that Amal Sarkar would always be remembered for his bravery and supreme sacrifice for the nation.
