AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): SFI leader Nabarun Deb to please his Guru Manik Sarkar has compared him with Rabindranath Tagore, when the whole nation is celebrating Togore's 126th birth anniversary. Nabarun Deb via his Face Book account wrote, "Why BJP is after great persons as Rabindranath Togore, Amartya Sen, Manik Sarkar ?" Nabarun Deb's post immediately triggered controversy at BJP Office. In a press meet BJP leaders led by Sunil Deodhar, Subal Bhowmik, Ashok Sinha said that he should keep his personal choices to him, there are other ways to bootlick Manik Sarkar. "The same CPI-M who always called Rabindranath Tagore as bourgeoisie, now suddenly they are showing sympathy for Tagore and also comparing Tripura CM with Rabindranath Tagore", said BJP spokesperson Ashok Sinha. Deodhar further mentioned, "Chopper rider Manik Sarkar always picks chopper when he is going to a party rally, but he never bothers to visit in Kanchanpur or Diarrhea attacked places"."Manik Sarkar's every items are much expensive. Adverting himself as the poor chief minister how does he do all these ?", said Deodhar.

Subal Bhowmik mentioned when Manik Sarkar is being compared with Rabindranath Tagore by CPI-M cadres, on the other hand by looting public money CPI-M has constructed 10,000 crores of party property.

However, on the occasion of Tagore's birth anniversary Nabarun Deb triggered a big controversy, whereas he still has not deleted that post. Moreover, public  also condemned immediately on the post of Nabarun Deb saying , 'how he can compare Manik Sarkar with Rabindranath Tagore'.
