AGARTALA / PECHARTHAL, May 9 (TIWN): A freight train was derailed at Pecharthal when it was travelling over Pecharthal tracks on Tuesday early morning around 4.30 AM.

However, no one was injured from the incident. But a major portion of the train bearing number WDG4-12688 was damaged due to the incident. 

The train's engines also was damaged due to the accident, TIWN Dharmanagar correspondent reported. 

Presently work on the tracks are going on to recover the meter-gauge route as fast as possible.
