AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): Eventhough reports revealed that Tripura's GDP has been downed, agriculture has fall in last few years due to the wrong economic policy of the state govt, but Tripura Communist firmly believes Tripura's source of income is highest in the Northeast. The Go-raksha move have suddenly emerged in Tripura hitting the rampant illegal export of cattle via Indo-Bangla borders with the interference of BJP recently to these activities. CPI-M spokesperson Goutam Das on Monday said, "A man takes care of a cow here thinking that in future he will get more cattle from it & earn some money by selling them in the market, but now due to the blessing of BJP govt they are unable to sell them".

Das also said, "In the name of Go-Rakhsha the selling of cows were banned in many states and now the impact is seen in Tripura too. People are unable to sell their cows due to the Go-rakhah move hurting the food culture of people".

However, Das was unready to accept the allegations of illegal selling of cows via borders and increasing cattle killing, theft in Tripura that left the farmers under heavy losses especially in Southern and Sonamura border areas.

Amit Shah said during his visit in Tripura that agriculture, industry are the only mean for development.

"In Tripura source of income mean Govt job whereas Tripura has wonderful environment natural beauty could be a model state. Development's definition is there should be no difference among rural and town areas. But here under left front govt there is no development causing down in Agriculture, generating 8 lakhs of unemployment", said Shah.

Recently in a press meet Tripura BJP State Observor Sunil Deodhar  said, ‘I want to ask the Chief Minister and all the people of Tripura, whether Indo-Bnagla smuggling is good for us ?’ ‘Just wait and watch....many illegal things will be stopped in state, including phesedyl smuggling’, Deodhar added.

‘I also want to ask my Muslim brothers, either we are Muslims or Hindus either BJP or Communist, which child grow up in our state without cow’s milk ? After mother’s milk, it’s only cow, who like the 2nd mother to sustain us. This is not about religion, but our tradition and food culture and also a battle against illegal smuggling’, says Deodhar.

‘Either BSF or police whoever is supporting illegal export-import will be heavily punished; I talked to the central home minister in this regard’, said Deodhar.

However, in Tripura all illegal selling of cows are being interrupted recently and reportedly police, BSF also are more alert about illegal selling of cows, when the state is sharing maximum areas with Bangladesh border.
