AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): 'Common Service Centre (CSC) will function as the nervous system of Digital India', said Central IT Minister at Agartala.
Central IT Minister Prem Prakash Chaudhury during his 2 day long visit in Agartala has inaugurated National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Centre at Agartala Bodhhungnagar.
Addressing the mass, the Minister said, "There are various keys which will play an important role in digital India Mission. But among the all important aspects, the CSC is the crucial method of functioning".
"India has 2.5 lakhs of Gram Panchayats and to expand digital mission across the Gram Panchayats are quite challenging unless Common Service Centres are available", said the Minister.
He further told Tripura Govt that within 2018, December all villages should be connected by internet so that villagers will get Wi-Fi connections in their mobiles all the time.
