AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): ‘There will be more border haats in Tripura in coming days, which will help to boost the commercial relation between two countries and also will generate source of income’, Central Minister Prem Prakash Chaudhury said on Tuesday at Agartala.
‘From railway to Internet Gateway, state Tripura is all set to emerge as the Southeast Asia’s Gateway’, the Minister added.
The borders are not drawbacks but through commercial relation, borders can act like economic corridors, said the Minister.
Earlier on the occasion of Statehood Day Tripura Governor TathagataRoy said ‘Modi Govt’s diplomacy has improved the Indo-Bangla relation to much extent which has lessened the Terrorism threats in Tripura’.
Referring Congress Govt’s Era, Tathagata Roy said that during the time of UPA Govt the terrorism threat increased, but now the relation is developed between India and Bangladesh & thanks goes to the Central Govt’s diplomacy.
‘Tripura is a bordering state and its very important we keep good relation with the neighboring countries and ofcourse under Modi Era, the relation has been strengthened’, said Roy.
