AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): An aged couple was fiercely killed at Nabin Pally under Subhashnagar area which is situated in outskirts Agartala, this morning. After this shocking incident, panic is prevailing among the residents of that locality.

The bodies of duo deceased namely Nakul Pal (85) and Renubala Pal (70), residents of the said area were found by the locals this morning, confirmed police.

After receiving the information, police of East Agartala Police Station visited the spot immediately and the bodies were taken to GBP hospital for post-mortem.

Later, police detained Swapan Pal and his wife Ujwala Pal for primary interrogation in this regard, said a police official.

On being asked about the dreadful incident, the neighbours asserted that the couple's son and daughter-in-law Swapan Pal and Ujjala Pal used to misbehave with them regularly as the couple was unable to lend their hands in domestic works.

“The actual reason of twin murder is yet to be ascertained. We are investigating the matter actively and interrogating the detained persons”, said a police official over telephone.
