KAILASHAHAR, April 21 (TIWN): ‘There will be no shortage of fund, if it’s about developmental works…’, the promise that often done by Tripura’s CPI-M MPs, Ministers & the Chief Minister. But the poor quality’s works, half constructed buildings, broken roads depicts another scenario of the Communist Era. Allegation came against a community hall construction at Gournagar block, the block which is known by its name itself as already a case is pending in High Court which was filed by Congress MLA Birjit Sinha against MGNREGA and RD Dept’s huge corruptions held in this block along with Jubarajnagar block. High Court also directed SIT to conduct proper inquiry in it. Reportedly, the Community hall construction had begun in the year 2012-13 for which Rs. 21 lakhs were sanctioned on that time under RD Dept. RD’s implementing Officer Subashish Nath just acted as a silent observer in the building construction, that led the then DM to take off the money from the engineer’s hand.
But presently the work has been paused fully, evenafter writing bundles of letters to the RD Dept under Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar.
This community hall was set to function with day to day programmes, seminars including party meeting, but presently there is no development of the work, although 2 years have already passed after the deadline crossed.
The half constructed building is taking more pathetic shape due to the negligence of the RD Dept. Already grass, trees have occupied the building, but no initiative has been taken to restart the work & where the fund has gone nobody knows, neither the Dept has any headache about it.
