Agartala, Oct 4(TIWN): In pursuance to Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), ONGC, Tripura asset on Thursday donated 408 items of aids and appliances, worth Rs 39.38 lakh to physically challenged children at ONGC complex.
Speaking in the programme on Oct 3 - Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that physically challenged person should try to infuse confidence they are not inferior to any normal persons as all of them endowed with one talent or the other.
Appreciating the initiative of ONGC, in association with ALMCO, Mr. Sarkar requested the parents those who have physically challenged children not to consider them as a burden. “A physically challenged person can do far better, from a normal one if proper can be given” he said.
Tripura Asset Manager, V P Mahawar while speaking in the occasion said that ONGC is a front runner in CSR in the country; it spends around 2 percent of its profits on CSR.
“From responsive activities to sustainable initiatives, ONGC has always endeavored to make significant difference in the society and improve the overall quality of life” added Mr. Mahawar.
