AGARTALA, April 19 (TIWN): Birjit led Congress’s dandi march begins on Wednesday. However, the official inauguration of the rally held on Tuesday evening at Panisagar, TIWN Dharmanagar correspondent reported from Panisagar.

This rally will continue till April-26 and on that they the Congress supporters to reach Agartala and gather at Gandhighat. On the other hand NSUI members started from South Tripura and will assemble at Gandhighat on the same day.

Congress chief demands are :

1. CBI inquiry against Rose Valley Chit fund and demanding the compensation money for the deprived people,

2. To convert TTADC into TTAC,

3. Govt should take charge of tea gardens,

4. 10,323 teachers alternative jobs,

5. to start allowance for unemployed youths

6. To take action against BJP's increasing racial activities,
