AGARTALA, April 18 (TIWN): Variable Dearness Allowanced revised in a meeting at Labour Dept. on Tuesday.

It was said, "In continuation of this Dept's notification No-F. 22 (49)-LAB / ENF/MW/RUBBER/2013/10,548-68 dated 24th Sept, 2016 and in furtherence of the aforestation Notification, the state govt hereby revises the Variable Dearness Allowanced (VDA) on the basis of 6th monthly average Consumer Price Index Numbers for the period of 6 months commencing from 01-07-2016 and ending on 31-12-2016 over the 6 monthly average in the employment of "Rubber Plantation" in Tripura as under and directs that the VDA shall be payable with the effect from 01-04-2017 by the employers t the workers/ employees employed in the aforsaid employment as per the following schedule :

1 : Tappers / Processing Workers (for adult male & female) Rs. 238.00 only for 8 hours of work (Previous VDA Rs. 15.90, Present VDA Rs. 10.89) Total minimum rates of wages (3 + 4) = Rs. 264.79 only for 8 hrs of work.

2. Rubber Plantation : Field Work (for adult male & female ) Rs. 230.00 only for 8 hrs, (Previous : 15.37, Present : 10.52) = Total Minimum rates of wages : Rs. 255.89 only for 8 hrs of work.
