PANISAGAR, April 18 (TIWN): In yet another successful move BSF 55 Btln has seized a vehicle fully loaded with ganja packets on Monday night. Reportedly, total 72 packets were recovered from the vehicle whereas the market value has been assumed as around 6 lakhs. BSF was reported via secret sources at morning 11 and since morning the force kept tracking over the vehicles passing through Panisagar. At 6 PM the truck was nabbed by BSF jawans but the measurement of the ganjas took much time as total 72 packets were recovered. Local people are happy with the initiative of BSF, as earlier also BSF successfully recovered ganjas, heroin, brown sugar. North Tripura is turning as the narcotic business zone, followed by negligence of police there. However, after recovering the Ganjas the btln handed over the ganjas in Panisagar police station by Monday night itself. Reportedly, Panisagar police will do further inquiry on it.

On the other hand Tripura Police whereas destroy Ganja gardens very often but hardly take any action against the illegal businessmen. Evenafter much claimed Ganja business's constant abolishment by Tripura Police, there is no fear among the illegal traders of Ganja.

The Ganja-rulers are ruling Tripura fearlessly, especially Indo-Bangla border lined Sonamura, Boxnagar areas.

But question raises why the business is much rampant in Tripura, whereas in whole India cannabis production has been banned? The reason has been identified as lack of legal actions against the illegal ganja traders of Tripura. Tripura Police only arrested one person in last year 2016-17 whereas there are reports of 17,60,195 illegal Ganja plants abolishment.

Lack of legal actions has not only raised question about ruling govt's goodwill to reduce illegal trades and clean Tripura from Ganja-addiction, but it has raised question upon the role of Police in it. However, to avoid increasing number of crimes, pending cases and to avoid hard works for FIRs no initiative has been taken against the owners of Ganja-Lands.
