AGARTALA, April 16 (TIWN): Whereas Tripura MGNREGA's projects are gripped in massive corruption, Central Govt is sending many notices to Tripura Govt regarding incomplete works, unpaid wages, Tripura leaders were seen lecturing in other states about the effective MGNREGA strategies for rural development from Tripura's perspective.
Reportedly, in a two day long workshop held at Shimla, in Himachal, MP Jiten Chowdhury held a long speech on Rural Development Programme on the effective implementation of MGNREGA, Forest Right Act, PRI functioning and 'role of left activists in the elected bodies in the light of Tripura's experience'.
Tripura RD Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar has been called for a meeting via video conferencing on April-21 regarding unpaid labour wages.
Apart from that incomplete works also raising question since years. Unutilized funds are closing the MGNREGA projects almost here in Tripura. In this condition MP Jiten's lectures at Himachal quite contradictory and just an attempt to fool the Himachal people.
