Dharmanagar, July 14 (TIWN): With an endeavour to prevent the malaria outburst in the North Tripura District, altogether 313 health camps were conducted by Health Department since June 22 upto July 07.
In total, 10596 patients were treated and free medicines were distributed among them during the camps, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of North District- Dr Dilip Das confirmed it, today.
The massive response was found under Kanchanpur sub-divisional hospital area with 1602 patients in 45 camps. Under Anandabazar PHC area 1341 patients have availed the free treatment facility in 45 health camps while 1198 persons were treated in 43 health camps under Dashda PHC area and free medicines were provided to them.
He also said that 602 patients availed the chance free treatment in the 17 health camps of Dharmanagar sub-divisional area while 594 patients were treated in 10 health camps under Panisagar Primary Health Centre (PHC). In the 16 health camps of Kadamtala PHC area, altogether 329 patients were treated while free medicines were distributed among them.
On the other hand, 548 patients in 9 health camps at Brajendranagar PHC area, 712 persons in 30 health camps at Jalebasa area, 147 persons in 4 camps at Bungnang PHC area, 579 patients in 13 camps under Tilthai PHC area, 88 patients in 5 camps under Sanicherra PHC area, 817 persons in 17 camps under Uptakhali PHC area were treated and free medicines were distributed among them.
Under Jampui Hill PHC area, 350 patients were treated in 8 camps while under Damcherra PHC in 18 camps 697 persons, under Khedacherra PHC area 522 patients in 18 camps and 515 persons in 18 camps under Laljuri PHC area were treated free of cost and they received free medicines, added Das.
