AGARTALA, April 10 (TIWN): The 10,323 teachers who have recently lost their jobs, due to the corruption in recruitment process led by left front govt. are yet undecided about their next step after 2 Sundays of the verdict. On April 2nd, following the verdict of Supreme Court, an association was formed by 10,323 teachers named ’All Tripura Govt 10,323 Regular Fixed Pay Teachers Employees Organization’. For the first time, after 10,323 teachers had lost their jobs due to wrong recruitment policy of the state govt, they constituted a Committee and state was expecting that they would file case against the corrupted officials or the govt. Around 40 teachers gathered on the first day of the Committee was constituted at Rabindra Bhawan and they called other teachers to join with them on that day.

As per the last report of Sunday, the teachers sat in meeting on the second Sunday after the verdict, but all left without any solution as some of them are ready to go in strike, some others not. Some of them are eager to file case against state govt. but some have strictly declined to file any case in it.

All the teachers are carrying different-different views for now as some of them are ready to file case against Govt right now, but some are demanding alternative jobs.

Committee President Bimal Saha while interacting with media on April 2nd said that the teachers will go for a strike soon, but the date has yet not fixed. However, talking to TIWN on Sunday, Saha said they still holding meetings but no solution have come out yet. “We are yet undecided what to do. However, meeting is going on in this regard at dist level”, Saha told TIWN.

However, as per SC’s clear instruction the 10,323 teacher must understand that nothing better is going to happen led by Tripura Govt. Without any clarification, Tripura Left Front Govt has although promised to be with 10,323 teacher, as it earlier promised in Jute Mill and RMSA cases, but 2 weeks of passage state govt didn’t say anything clearly. Govt will never leave them but why the Govt will not 'leave' it's the ultimate question and it's well known that the 2018 is the deadline till when Govt would be with them. In 10,323 teachers case Tripura Govt after saying that it will be beside them, have not lengthen the line any more without any proper details.

Eventhough many political parties are demanding their alternative work arrangement but the reality is very cruel. Govt in reality has no capacity to distribute job offers.

A rumour also  erupted that to save the Govt from legal cases, Govt is thinking to give 5 years relaxation for the 10,323 teachers and it was also published in many print media that in SC verdict also it is written to change the age limitation of the teachers, after they were confirmed from govt sources.

The master-plan was that the B.Ed qualifiers among 10323 teachers, who had become over age in these 3 years they can easily sit in TET and for them who have not B.Ed 5 years are enough for them to complete B.Ed. Then all the teachers can sit in TET.  But the SC’s order directly and clearly mentioned that “The candidates who participated in the selection process pursuant to the advertisements in question, whether selected or not, be allowed to participate in the fresh selection process by relaxing their age but subject to their having necessary qualifications”. Thus it’s clear now that even though Govt said that it is beside the 10,323 teachers but in actual they are “Incapable” to be with them.

10,232 may end just as a history, if the teachers do not take any action soon, said legal experts.
