Why 10323 ‘must’ stop Day-Dreaming ? CPI-M’s 5 yrs plan for 10323 teachers fails as SC directs age-relaxation only for ‘Qualified-Overage’ teachers

AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): If the 10,323 teachers are thinking that with their strike and protest Govt will give them jobs they are day-dreaming as Govt’s press release of April-7 has made it clear that no job can be provided by the govt directly. A rumour also raised about the age bar relaxation would be given by Tripura Govt and a master plan was made to delay the anger of 10,323 teachers. Also a rumour erupted that to save the Govt from legal cases, Govt is thinking to give 5 years relaxation for the 10,323 teachers and it was also published in many print media that in SC verdict also it is written to change the age limitation of the teachers, after they were confirmed from govt sources. The master-plan was that the B.Ed qualifiers among 10323 teachers, who had become over age in these 3 years they can easily sit in TET and for them who have not B.Ed 5 years are enough for them to complete B.Ed. Then all the teachers can sit in TET.

But the SC’s order directly and clearly mentioned that “The candidates who participated in the selection process pursuant to the advertisements in question, whether selected or not, be allowed to participate in the fresh selection process by relaxing their age but subject to their having necessary qualifications”. Thus it’s clear now that even though Govt said that it is beside the 10,323 teachers but in actual they are “Incapable” to be with them.

Moreover, Manik Sarkar’s promise via a press release is not 100 % transparent but rather a bluff on the air saying,  "The state govt is concerned with the future of all the teachers affected by the court's order and reaffirms that all possible steps shall be taken to protect the interest of the affected teachers who have already served the state with their sincerity and dedication". Now, the 10,323 teachers must be smart enough to understand what is meant by possible (?) steps.

In this condition how far the newly made 10323 teachers organization will be able to manage their jobs from the govt it can be assumed.

After 10,323 teachers had lost their jobs due to wrong recruitment policy of the state govt, they constituted a Committee named ’All Tripura Govt 10,323 Regular Fixed Pay Teachers Employees Organization’. Around 40 teachers gathered on the first day of the Committee was constituted at Rabindra Bhawan and they called other teachers to join with them. However, all the teachers are carrying different-different views for now as some of them are ready to file case against Govt right now, but some demands alternative jobs. But the teachers have called all the teachers to be united and it’s not mandatory to carry same views among all the teachers.

Committee President Bimal Saha while interacting with media said that the teachers will go for a strike soon, but the date has yet not fixed. Their first priority is their rights presently, Saha told media.

Thus 10,323 teachers must plan to file case against the corrupted officials or ministers instead of wasting their times in strike.

The SC order gave 5 strict points :

 (a) New employment policy should be framed by the state by April 30, 2017 if not already framed, advertisements for filling up the vacancies may be issued latest by May 31st, 2017.

(b) The fresh selection process be completed on or before December 31st, 2017 and till the fresh process is completed, the teachers already appointed shall continue.

(c) The candidates who participated in the selection process pursuant to the advertisements in question, whether selected or not, be allowed to participate in the fresh selection process by relaxing their age but subject to their having necessary qualifications.

(d) The qualifications in the case of teachers governed by the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 shall be in conformity with the relevant statutory provisions of the said Act.

(e) The qualifications of teachers employed for Classes IX and above shall be strictly in compliance with the relevant provisions concerning such appointments.
