AGARTALA, April 5 (TIWN): After 1 week of the 10,323 teachers recruitment case's verdict announced at Supreme Court, Tripura Chief Minister called media personnel for the first time on Wednesday and talked about the case. However, nothing could be assured by the state govt as Chief Minister sitting with Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty and Finance Minister Bhnaulal Saha told media clearly, "The members of the Council of Ministers observed that the judgement was unexpected". "However, the council of Ministers decided to comply with the direction passed by the Hon'ble Court", CM said. The Govt press release further said, " It is decided that the state is committed to ensure that ongoing educational endeavors and smooth functioning of the educational institutions are not disrupted and affect the future of the children".

"The state govt is concerned with the future of all the teachers affected by the court's order and reaffirms that all possible steps shall be taken to protect the interest of the affected teachers who have already served the state with their sincerity and dedication", the press release said. Now it's quite clear that Govt is fully telling lies to the 10,323 teachers, neither, they have 'capacity' to do for them.

However in the press release SC's directions were strictly mentioned as :

(a) New employment policy should be framed by the state by April 30, 2017 if not already framed, advertisements for filling up the vacancies may be issued latest by May 31st, 2017.

(b) The fresh selection process be completed on or before December 31st, 2017 and till the fresh process is completed, the teachers already appointed shall continue.

(c) The candidates who participated in the selection process pursuant to the advertisements in question, whether selected or not, be allowed to participate in the fresh selection process by relaxing their age but subject to their having necessary qualifications.

(d) The qualifications in the case of teachers governed by the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 shall be in conformity with the relevant statutory provisions of the said Act.

(e) The qualifications of teachers employed for Classes IX and above shall be strictly in compliance with the relevant provisions concerning such appointments.

Thus it is now 'Quite Clear' that if any teacher has qualification he / she can only sit in the exam and those who do not have they can not, neither Govt can give relaxation of age bar those who haven't the qualification. But the qualified, over-aged teachers will sit in TET.
