Tripura Home guards to file case against State Govt’s long deprivation

AGARTALA, April 2 (TIWN): After 2 decades of corruption, now the common people in Tripura are raising voice for their rights. With such a move the poor paid Home Guards in Tripura will file a case after April 17 following their unfulfilled demands from the state govt.

In a press meet the member of Tripura Home Guard Developing Committee told media that with 6 points of demands they met the CM more than once and also sent letter to the Chief Secretary, but being frustrated of Chief Minister’s empty promises, the members have decided to knock the door of law after April 17.

Their demands are :

  1. The daily DUD allowance should be hiked to Rs. 500 from Rs. 181,
  2. The retired pensioners in Home Guard only gets Rs. 750/- They demanded the half salary of their pension,
  3. The Home Guards who can not enjoy their holidays should be given the salaries of that particular day,
  4. Like police the home guards should be given 13 months salaries,
  5. Medical helps,
  6. Special Recruitment Board to be set up in home guard recruitment.
