DHARMANAGAR, April 1 (TIWN): Bundles of Ganja worth Rs. 15 lakhs were recovered from Agartala-Silchar train on Saturday.
The raid took placed at Dharmanagar railway station led by SDPO Jotisman Das Chowdhury, DIB / DSP – Bikamjit Sukla Das after the officials were informed via their secret sources.
However, no one could be arrested in this case but police successfully recovered the ganja packets from the train itself.
Tripura trains are becoming illegal Ganja export corridor as earlier BSF also recovered a huge amount of ganja packets from Panisagar train in 2016.
This recovery of Ganja from Agartala-Silchar train has created panic at Dharmanagar.
Security has been further tightened.
