AGARTALA March 14 (TIWN): In an attempt to calm down the ongoing heated environment in Agartala due to political clashes, all kinds of political rallies have been banned in for next 24 hrs.

A clash occurred among TMC, BJP supporters on Monday evening regarding putting flags in a Congress dominating area.

A massive fight among TMC / BJP supporters occurred before West PS, when BJP went to file FIR against EX Cong CM Samir Barman’s elder son Sandip Roy Barman.

Many people injured due to the incident including 11 police personnel. Thus SP West declared that no political rally would be allowed on next 24 hours for the sake of maintaining the peace.
