AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): After holding various connectivity summits Tripura Chief Minister and his lameduck PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury failed give the people a single problem free monsoon. During the dry season the PWD was waiting when treasury will pass the bill, but when govt took the work in hand it was expected that monsoon will hit this single route for Udaipur-Agartala. With a sudden splash of rain the half done double lane work has turned as death zone and from Bisramganj to Charilam people are walking and after walking half an hour they taking another vehicle to pass the route, resulting 40 rupees of vehicle fare. Helicopter rider Ministers yet to visit the spot, which has become an accident zone. Question raises, who is responsible for this condition? Around 1000 crores double lane project's fund was sanctioned 2 years back and the work was to be completed within June 2017. But as expected, with zero IQ level PWD Minister has once again put the passengers into heavy trouble for the season. This single route is the life line from South to the Capital City.

But due to the irresponsible leadership of CPI-M Govt. it has been paralyzed for an uncertain period of time.Reportedly other potions of state till Sabroom are also to suffer from similar problems.

After PWD had taken charge of the road to make it double lane the work started with full enthusiasm but later it has been running at snail's pace. Allegation also came that CPI-M govt is taking the works in hand only in monsoon for 'extra fund' management thoughout the year, but on the other hand after Assam Govt changed, that portion is in good shape even after monsoon has hit NE for 2 days.

During NE summit 2016 Manik Sarkar said, 'What Act East has done for NE'?, and 'PPP is a bogus policy', but Sarkar's long-long speeches on the practical ground doesn't apply when it comes for his own state's developments.
