BJP President Biplab Dey said that although the journey of BJP is very new but BJP is blooming rapidly and membership is at rise'.
Around 50,000 people at Astabol had gathered on Friday afternoon, when Assam Chief Minister and other BJP delegates joined the rally as a part of protesting ‘CPI-M’s misruling.
This rally was initiated when CPI-M gave a press release regarding a tribal BJP leader’s murder after BJP alleged that the tribal leader Chanmohon Tripura was killed by local CPI-M.
CPI-M in that press release said that CPI-M had no link with Chanmohon Tripura’s murder. The person who was killed and the person who killed him both were mentally disable. Immediately reacting over ruling CPI-M’s statement, BJP kicked off Civil Disobedience Movement on March 4 and demanded CBI inquiry against Chamohon Tripura’s murder. As CBI investigation was not held thus BJP as pre-schedule conducted the biggest ever protest rally at Astabol where Assam’s Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal lead the protest rally.
