Additional district and session court in 2016 announced twelve people as guilty into the murder case and 5 acquitted among the entire 17 accused of the case. However this case was brought under special focus after the High court ordered the additional district and session court to wrap up the Parimal Saha murder case hearing along with judgment by April 30, 2016. Recently, opposition Congress has raised question over the role of Abhijit Ghosh and asked to replace him new a new lawyer.

Opposition also Parimal Saha was a Congress MLA, thus CPI-M's Govt's role was suspicious from the beginning. Just due to HC's pressure the lower court in 2016 had convicted Parmal Saha murderers.

This issue had created unrest in the ongoing on Feb 23 Assembly, but on behalf of Govt no clear reply about lawyer Abhijit Ghosh's replacement was given supporting Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath.
