AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): Security tightened at Astabol Stadium on Thursday as BJP is going to conduct the biggest ever rally at Astabol Stadium on Friday. BJP President Biplab Dey said that although the journey of BJP is very new in Tripura but BJP is blooming rapidly and membership is also at rise. BJP is expecting more than lakh people at Astabol on Friday afternoon, when Assam Chief Minister and other BJP delegates will join the rally as a part of protesting ‘CPI-M’s misruling’, said BJP Vice Presidet Subal Bhowmik. This rally was initiated when CPI-M gave a press release regarding a tribal BJP leader’s murder after BJP alleged that the tribal leader Chanmohon Tripura was killed by local CPI-M. CPI-M in that press release said that CPI-M had no link with Chanmohon Tripura’s murder & the person who was killed and the person who killed him both were mentally imbalanced. Immediately reacting over CPI-M’s statement, BJP held Civil Disobedience Movement on March 4 and demanded CBI inquiry against Chamohon Tripura’s murder.

 As CBI investigation was not held thus BJP as pre-schedule is going to conduct the biggest ever protest rally at Astabol where Assam’s Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will lead the protest rally and the BJP supporters to come with Chanmohon Tripura’s posters in their hands.

However, BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik in Wednesday’s press meet told media that this rally is not only about protesting against Chanmohon Tripura’s murder, but it will fight against the raising attack on BJP by ruling CPI-M. “We have prepared a lot since last 10 days for this day. Chanmohon Tripura was brutally killed by Communist leaders. Apart from Chanmohon Tripura common people also killing across Tripura but for the sake of vote banks, ruling Govt is taking no action”, said Bhowmik citing example of tortures done upon Hindus at Panisagar’s Padmabil Village, where an innocent Hindu man Asim Das passed away after suffering many days at Shillong Hospital.

Victim Chanmohon Tripura’s brother Ananda Mohon Tripura had lodged an FIR against 7 people at there for killing his elder brother. When Ananda Mohon rushed to save his brother at home, there were seven CPI-M cadres including prime accused Biswada Tripura.

 Along with Assam CM Sarbananda  Sonowal, Hemanta Biswasarma (Chairman NEDA and Finance and Education Minister, Assam will remain present.

West Tripura Police led by West SP Abhijit Saptarshi and Add SP Sharmistha Chakraborty checked out various arrangements at Astabol Stadium on Thursday. Presently huge number of security has been deployed there.
