AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): Boosting about E-Governance may not work for long as when it comes to practical ground Tripura’s performance is zero in software mechanism. Former Chief Secretary Y P Sing had claimed that Tripura was first to launch digital payment and thus central govt can not blindly blame Tripura Govt for fund issues. Y P Sing said this at Rabindra Bhawan before 2 months. However, Singh has been retired and now it has revealed that Tripura’s performance in Geotagging is only 15.90 %, whereas Sikkim has successfully completed with 60%, Bihar 67 % even Arunahchal also performed better than Tripura with 25 %. The number of Panchayats in Tripura is 1,178 but in report whereas Tripura showed 714,802 works are completed but the Geotagging has done only with 24. 10 %. However, in total including ID generation, overall Tripura’s performance in Geotagging has been calculated by Central Govt with 15.90 %; citing an exclusive example of E-Governance. A review meeting will be conducted on March 24 led by Aparajita Sarangi at New Delhi.

In the issued letter it has been clearly mentioned to all Principal Secretaris, “States / UTs should ensure that whatever work is completed w.e.f. 01/ 04/ 2017 must be geotagged within one month from date of completion of work”.

However, already an E-test was taken on March 7 as a part of  checking developments under the digital-transparency method. The Test was taken centred from Delhi Krishi Bhawan and Examination centre had began from Agartala first.

Thus the Central Govt's push for development is showing colours in Tripura's various Depts especially in RD Dept which is heading by Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar since last 2 / 3 yrs.

These review meeting will check these issues :

1. Targets and Achievements Status of asset id generation

2. Targets and Achievements Status of assets geotagged

3. Registration Status of Gram Panchayats where no MSE is registered

4. Registration Status of Gram Panchayats where MSE is registered but has no asset geotagged

5. Quality of Geotagged Assets

6. Strategy for achieving the targets

It's worthy to mention that Tripura's Target for Asset ID Generation is  49,222 & Target for Geotagging 57,309.
