AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN) : Other State's farmers' suicides have become a big headache for Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, but state Tripura will be shocked to know that in last 3 years atleast 2062 people committed suicide here. The number of women's suicide has been reported more in number and then students. Reportedly, in 2014 the number of death was - 650, in 2015 - 740 and in 2016 - 673 totalling 2016 deaths in past 3 years. Among the deceased the number of students who committed suicide were 96 in 2014; 79 in 2015 and 68 in 2016. Now the number women's suicide can be examined : in 2014, atleast 221 women died by committing suicide, in 2015 the number was 271, in 2016 it was 223. Apart from that 3 farmers committed suicide.

So, this is the scenario of so called peaceful state Tripura, where everyday 2 persons are choosing death as a better option than living.

The number of registered unemployed youth's are 7,08,941. Drug addiction, illegal business, smuggling, prostitution are at rise but yet the Govt keeps busy to clarify the peaceful condition of state.

Due to lack of industry and rampant corruption in various depts GDP rate has downed mercilessly. But to prove CPI-M’s economic policy is successful, CPI-M keeps on bluffing and claiming that GDP growth has increased in Tripura but its decreasing nationally.

 Whereas survey said that Tripura’s GDP is only 7 %, which is the lowest in the country CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar claimed Tripura’s GDP is the highest. Dhar in his last press meet also claimed that GDP of  India will be decreased by 1.5 % in this year due to demonetization.

Then when it comes about women's suicide it was already exposed that everyday 3 women are tortured in Tripura.

Among them 130 rape cases among them 68 were minors and 47 were adults.

In 2014 total  Rape : 240, Molestation : 492, Dowry tortures : 493, Kidnapping : 126, Dowry Deaths : 64.

In 2015 total Rape : 213, Molestation : 352, Dowry tortures : 348, Kidnapping : 152, Dowry Deaths : 61.

Moreover, among the accused 3482 people were arrested and 493 are eloping.

Amidst so many crimes happening in Tripura, ruling party's claim about peaceful state has no end. Tripura Commission for Women has received a new building at Melarmath, but with such buildings the files of crimes at police stations are also increasing radically.
