AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): During inauguration ceremony of much awaited Dhanajoy Park on Friday, March 3, Tripura Chief Minister once again taken right leadership role in cornering separatist ‘Twipraland’ demands and underlying extremists elements of Tripura, who once had surrendered for homes, money and livelihood and now again trying to destroy the peace among Bengali and Tribals solely for political benefits. Amongst huge Tribal-Bengali gatherings ,Manik Sarkar reminded the State that how great persons like Dhananjoy Tripura, dedicated their lives and became martyr to uplift Kokborok language, how Dasarath Deb dedicated his whole life to Educate the tribal community and since Nripen Chakraborty's time Ganamukti Parishad was helping the much backward Tribal community to develop and stand on their own feet. Addressing the gathering Sarkar said, "3rd March is the day when in demand of Kokborok language's recognition Martyr Dhananjoy Tripura was killed by police and they were the person who gave back the tribal people their lands".

CM also reiterated the fact that non-tribal Bengalees were living in Tripura since the old Tripura kingdom and the then all erstwhile Kings also took all helps from Bengalis in various state matters.

"Tribal people were neglected till1978 as CPI-M protests led by great leaders as Nripen Chakraborty, Baidyanath Majumder, Biren Dutta'.

'From returning lands to making the tribals educated--all were acheved  by these stalwarts. In this situation Ganamukti Parishad and leaders like Dasarath Deb can never be neglected from the main stream, as without their dedication these days had been never possible', said Sarkar.

However, Congress in 1987's Era came in power with TUJS and TNV's help, which resulted in bloodshed, massive butchering of Bengalis. After that Congress was kicked out from Tripura and never came back to power.

Reportedly, Ganmukti Parishad was also trying to address the discrimination created by tribal outfits among the Tribal and Bengalis.

On last February 22, CPI-M party office has exposed the reality of IPFT as nothing but a group of terrorists and in 2000, IPFT was formed out of surrendered NLFTs.

The Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) was formed on June 9, 1997 when the Tripura Hill People's Party (THPP) and Tripura Tribal National Conference (TTNC) merged. Initially the Tripura National Volunteers (TNV) Bijoy Hrangkwal was supposed to merge into the IPFT, but they withdrew from the political map. Debabrata Koloi, the THPP leader, became the IPFT general secretary.

All the seperatist members were more or less nothing but surrendered militants.

Tripura CM's bold speech will help to maintain communal peace and peace as other opposition leaders from Congress, BJP, TMC willfully avoided the responsibility to deliver strong message to seperatist Tribal outfits.
