Agartala, July 4 (TIWN): Air dropping of doctors and anti-malaria drugs in distant areas of Tuipuibari and Gobindabari in Dhalai district started today.
The first team of doctors started today.
Medical personnel would be deployed on shifting duty basis for the next four days tillnJuly 08, an official communique frlm the state Health Department said.
The communique further stated that the state government is working closely with the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to procure more anti malaria drugs.
A total of 1,420 patients were reported to have contacted malaria across the state, raising the final figures of infected population to 20,015. No death was reported from anywhere in the state, he stated.
A total of 1,18,947 patients suffering with fever were diagnosed across the state including institutional treatment in hospitals and health camps till date.
Over two hundred health camps were organized across the state today. 2,501 camps were held since institutional treatment delivery to contain malaria started on June 13 earlier this year.
