AGARTALA / KAILASHAHAR, Feb 18 (TIWN): The 12 hours strike called by Tripura Pradesh Congress received a mixed response at kailashahar on Saturday.
The strike was aimed to protest against the poor health service along with demanding the shifting of present Dist hospital on population and demand basis at Unakoti Dist.
However, normal life in various parts of the subdivision was partly affected due to the strike.
4 wheeler vehicles were less in number, whereas bike riders were available on the road.
Congress bunt tires, blocked road and also paralyzed the court at there.
A clash among police and picketers also reported when the Dist Magistrate was entering the court.
Congress picketers led by PCC Chief Birjit Sinha and Youth Congress leader Sushanta Chowdhury began the strike since early morning 5 AM to evening 5 PM.
