Agartala, June 28 (TIWN): Tripura Commission for Women (TCW) felicitated the successful girl students of Higher Secondary and Madhyamik examinations-2014 at the commission office, here today. Each student was felicitated by a memento and books.
The felicitation programme was presided over by the vice-chairperson of Tripura Commission for Women- Manika Datta Roy while the member secretary of the commission- Aparna Dey was remained present.
While addressing the felicitation programme, the vice-chairperson said, “Don’t make yourself a machine for earn money. Be a good human being in the society. Always think something good for the society”.
In her tiny speech, she appealed girl students to keep restrain themselves from any kind of allure who will go to the outside for higher education. Further Roy advised them to escape from the present self-centric society. Further she congratulated all the successful girl students for their achievements.
Altogether, 11 girl students were felicitated in the function, they are; Puja Sharma (6th) of Bishalgarh HS School, Isha Debnath (8th) and Manidipa Barman (9th) of Netaji Subash Vidyaniketan, Durba Chakraborty (9th) of Melagarh HS School and Saswati Datta (10th) from Netaji Vidyapith (EM) School in the Higher Secondary examination, this year.
Debasmita Saha (1st) and Swarnali Bhowmik (8th) of Sishubihar School, Sanchari Debnath (3rd) from Dharmanagar Govt Girls’ HS School, Pragna Roy (3rd) of Netaji Subash Vidyaniketan, Sagarika Majumder (4th) of Shishuniketan HS School and Antashree Ghosh (10th) from Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial HS School in the Madhyamik examination-2014.
Besides guardians, teachers from different schools and many other people attended the felicitation programme.
