UDAIPUR, June 28 (TIWN): State Election Commissioner Y Kumar visited Udaipur on Saturday to supervise the ongoing preparations ahead of the three-tier Panchayat election. At 10 in the morning CEO visited the Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya, one of the venues for Strong Room and Counting Centre. BDO Tepania Block Rakesh Chakraborty received Y. Kumar in N S Mahavidyalaya. DM Gomati Sonal Goel accompanied the SEC during his visit.

Later on the Y.Kumar visited another venue for Strong Room and Counting Centre Udaipur Ramesh H S School. The counting of election under Matabari Block will be done here. BDO Matabari Block Nibedita Bhowmik remained present here. Speaking to TIWN in Ramesh H S School Y Kumar said, "I am quite satisfied with the preparations taken by the Gomati District Administration about the ensuing poll. Today I have visited two counting venues- N S Mahavidyalaya and Ramesh School.

And I have suggested the BDO Matabari and Tepania about the necessary steps to be taken in the buildup of this election." Y.Kumar further said that all political parties representatives met him in his office at Agartala and he assured that every necessary will be taken if any complain is raised. However, he said that even now any party can put up their complaints to the DMs and accordingly the DMs will take actions.

Meanwhile at 12 noon  Y Kumar held meeting with the DM Gomati Sonal Goel, ADM Gomati L T Darlong SDM Udaipur Ajit Debnath and other officials. During this one and half hour long meeting DM, ADM and SDM briefed Mr. Kumar about the district level preparations. Y. Kumar advised the DM and BDOs to occupy the Strong Rooms from the 1st of July. It is to be mentioned here that in Udaipur three venues have been selected for Strong Rooms and Counting Halls-N S Mahavidyalaya(Tepania Block), Udaipur Ramesh H S School(Matabari Block) and Kakraban DIET College(Kakraban Bkock). In the afternoon Mr.Kumar left for the South District to supervise the preparations there.
