AGARTALA, Jan 25 (TIWN): Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy one day ahead of 68th Republic Day celebration claimed that in comparison with all neighboring countries which were ruled by British as Pakistan, Myanmar, Srilanka, Bangladesh and other countries; India is far better either in Economy or in Education. Governor was delivering his speech on the occasion of 7th National Voters Day at Rabindra Bhawan and he mentioned that in Indian citizens are living in a much democratic environment and in the gap of 70 years of independence the country has upgraded itself a lot. Earlier many Pak-supportive leaders commented about India that neither its politics will survive nor the country has any future. “I was reading B K Nehru’s autobiography who was working as ICS during British Era. In that autobiography B K Nehu mentioned about his conversation with other ICS who later became Pakistani. On that time they laughed at India’s uncertain future. But if we compare with India, Pakistan has nothing today. It has no govt and the Prime Minister of Pakistan is almost a puppet", said Roy.
"Only Militant-Raj is dominating over Pakitsan. Not only Pakistan, if we compare with counties like Bangladesh, those countries can not come near to India’s economy. Other countries conditions are also pitiable”, said Governor.
However, on 26th January at Agartala Assam Rifles Ground Governor will be the Chief guest of the programme, but before that he already greeted the state for the completion of successful 68 years of Democracy.
He also mentioned that the Unity was disrupted in 1970’s time, but that was for a limited period.
“Instead of being a vast country, massive poverty the Citizens of India have passed a 70 years of togetherness amidst harmony and unity”, said Governor.
