Khowai, Dec 20 (TIWN): On Friday, labour union of Khowai Tea Garden held protest in front of Panchayat office for stealing agar tree and selling illegally.

Allegations are raised against Panchayat officials for theft of Agar Tree from Khowai Tea garden.

The money worth of a agar tree is quite much, so it is always difficult to safeguard agar trees from smugglers.

Corruption and illegal activities surrounding govt. officials are becoming rampant across Tripura.  Such illegal steps by Govt. officials indicate that they cannot satisfy their thirst for money with their regular salary.
