AGARTALA, Dec 19 (TIWN): A minor girl of around 7 years was raped in Madhupur village under Kamala Sagar Panchayat ward no.1.

The  heinous incident took place on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to TIWN correspondent, O.C of Madhupur P.S, Debabrata Biswas said that the  victim was primarily admitted in  Modhupur Hospital but due to deteriorated health condition, she has been shifted to GB Hospital.

He further informed that accused Sadhan Shib was a close neighbor of the victim’s family. The minor girl used to call him as uncle. On Wednesday evening , she was raped when she was out for fishing.

Accused Sadhan Shib has been arrested by Police.
