AGARTALA, Dec 15 (TIWN): TSECL is taking no steps in cutting hook lines across state. Power Minister Manik Dey recently said that load shedding problem is prevalent across all states .He further stated that we do not have enough power generation across Tripura. But he did not mention any steps taken against hook lines and electricity theft prevailing across state.

An approximately 15598 houses were caught with hook lines in a mission against hook lines in the year 2015-16.But no legal steps were taken against them.

Rather than taking steps against electricity theft, Power minister has blamed NEEPCO stating that Monarchak is a total failure.

While speaking to TIWN correspondent,  a higher official stated that two plants are currently operating under NEEPCO- Monarchak and Ramchandra Ghat. He even mentioned that  power generation is not exactly 101 MW, just a bit less than the mentioned.
