AGARTALA, Dec 15 (TIWN): Massive accidents took place across Agartala, Teliamura, Khowai, Udaipur and Jirania on Saturday.
On Saturday , a maruti van TR060364 collided with a tree while the driver was driving at a high speed towards Khowai. Driver-Samar Dey was reported dead after being admitted to hospital.
On Friday, crowded Chakma Ghat witnessed heavy rush of vehicles. Two women were wounded by speedy vehicles.
In Teliamura, two accidents took place leaving another five wounded.
An auto driver named Bijoy Shil was killed in Harendra Chandra Tea Garden as he came under his own vehicle.
On Saturday evening, a maruti van TR01F2011, on losing control bumped into a rickshaw and a bicycle. In the incident, rickshaw puller, two persons in the rickshaw and two persons in the maruti van were wounded.
In Jirania, a bike rider wounded himself on hitting against a tree.
On Sunday, a passenger bus collided with a bike in Sepahijala roadway. Bike rider, Krishna Jamatia had a narrow escape from death.
