AGARTALA, Jan 14 (TIWN): The hapless Youth Congress on the day of Makar Sankranti are yet sitting on Hunger Strike at Agartala Paradise Chowmuhani, whereas nobody bothered about the strike at all. On the one hand whereas the Congress leaders have pushed the youths to sit on 24 hrs strike, on the other hand Tripura Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath who going against his party members from the beginning was saying that CBI functions on the state based data told TIWN on Saturday that CBI inquiry is required, but Central Govt can not order CBI to investigate in Tripura. “One has to know how CBI functions and Tripura sent a wrong data on Rose Valley with a very minimum amount of Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 5,4000/- on the peak time which led the case to delay”. TIWN further asked the MLA that now it is proven Rose Valley is 10 times bigger scam then other scams, so why CBI is not coming, Nath replied, “State Govt can easily show reason behind no-need of CBI inquiry as it has SIT now. State Govt can tell the centre that SIT is properly investigating Rose Valley and other chit fund cases".

"However, in later after SIT’s failure the High Court can also transfer the investigation responsibility to CBI”, Nath said.

Asking Nath about Congress MLA Birjit Sinha’s point of view who told TIWN that Central has full hand over CBI, Nath said, “Arguments can be made in any case, but ultimately the judge’s decision remains ultimate. In the same way Politicians can do arguments, but without logic, data all will be in vain. Many politicians even those are in strike  they do not know how CBI functions. They just protest according to the party decision. But neither Modi, nor Sonia Gandhi can send CBI to Tripura for Rose Valley investigation”.

“A lawyer eventhough he knows his client will be defeated, then also he takes the case and makes excellent arguments and people think after giving enough logics too, the case has been lost. But the lawyer himself knows arguments without logic is euphonic but Judge took the correct decision”, Nath said pointing towards the politicians motive.

“The State Govt should send this case to CBI for further inquiry, but in between blaming the Centre is not right”, Nath added. He further lies importance in CBI inquiry as SIT and Tripura police could not do anything much in this regard.

Central Vigilance Commission Act, 2003 (45 of 2003) is an Act to make provision for the constitution of a special police force  (in Delhi for the investigation of certain offences.

“From the state Govt the case/ report goes to Special Police Establishment (SPE), 1946 (Delhi-Govt), (Not Delhi-State Govt) and they send it to CBI. In between nowhere the Central Govt comes. It’s called Delhi Govt as all the offices of Centre is there.
