AGARTALA, Jan 14 (TIWN): Japanese Encephalitis Vaccination Campaign continues under Gomati District and recorded 8613 numbers of vaccination. In last two days total 17925 numbers of children have been vaccinated in Gomati District.
Kakraban PHC covered as the highest one thousand sixty six children leading Udaipur Subdivision to record total 5566 numbers of vaccination. Amapur & Karbook Subdivisions have also been able to give one thousand six hundred thirty five & numbers of vaccination respectively. Today vaccination was done from total 75 numbers of identified vaccination centres throughout Gomati District under the supervision of Medical Officers & health officials.
In order to make the vaccination campaign successful, collective efforts from elected representatives, Administration, Education Department, Social Welfare & Social Education Department & Police have been properly placed in Gomati District which helps to run the campaign without hindrance. Medical Officers, Health workers, teachers, Angwandi Workers and ASHA has been actively working to mobilize students and vaccinating the targeted children to protect from Japanese encephalitis, a deadly & mosquito disease. Vaccination is the only effective way to combat the disease. All parents, guardians, teachers are requested to bring their children to nearby vaccination centres or MCH Clinic of hospital to vaccinate the children aging 1 to 15 years. It is pertinent to mention here that only vaccinated children may be protected from this disease.
