She added that her father is a cardiac patient and underwent by-pass surgery recently, exposing him to sudden immense inconvenience and sufferings. The troubles could be largely controlled if safe drinking water is immediately administered.
The Multiplex authorities described the Forum in a hearing that viewers are stopped from carrying beverage which includes drinking water keeping in view safety and security of the viewers.
“The cinema hall operators have stated that similar kinds of security measures are adopted in all multiplexes throughout the country. The security guidelines of the cinema hall received approval from the state government”, the Forum said in its verdict.
The consumer disputes forum ruled out the allegation of violating any rule by the multiplex authorities by denying drinking water inside the cinema hall and said that it agreed with the reason provided by the operators.
Interestingly, the counsel of the defendant said during the hearing that there are various shops in the lobby of the multiplex where bottles of mineral water are available for purchase.
