Agartala, Sept 30 (TIWN): For first time in history of Tripura, 1st batch cadet sub – inspector (men) will be passing out after completion of one year training, Principal of KTD Singh Police Training Academy Krishnendu Chakravertty said.
He informed that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is schedule to remain present as Chief Guest in the passing out on October 3, at KTD Singh Police Training Academy ground.
The principal stated that earlier the training used to hold at North East Police Academy (NEPA) Shillong, Chennai and Hyderabad. After getting elevated as Police Academy from college, government decided the training of first batch cadet sub – inspector should be imparted from here. Total of 75 cadets will be passing out from the police academy.
The one year training commenced from September 27, 2012. The training was held in two phase – indoor and outdoor. The indoor subjects include law, police act, criminology, forensic science etc. The outdoor subjects included physical training, drill weapon training, police operation and also field craft like counter ambush.
Besides cadets received field exposure duty at Karachi puja, Durga puja, assembly election, V VIP duties like the visit of President and vice – president. The cadets also participated in blood donation, shramdan, vanamohatsava and vaccination programme.
