AGARTALA, Jan 11 (TIWN) : CBI has finished investigation of 5 cases of Chit fund scam and has submitted charge sheets. Charge sheets of 3 cases were submitted previously on Dec 25, 2016 and recently two more were submitted on Jan 2.

Tripura govt. has sent a total of 37 cases related to the scam to CBI, but only 5 were accepted by CBI for investigation.

 Majority of the accused in the  five cases  are presently in  the jail custody.
