AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): The traffic dept Principal Secretary Sriram Tarnikanti said on the occasion of 28th Road Safety week held at Astabol that the condition of National Highway should be developed more for the sake of decreasing accidents.
“The traffic rules must be more tough so that the number of accidents decreases”, said Tarnikanti.
Wearing helmet is must and police should be strict against reckless driving, whether the drivers are using seat belts or not etc.
He further said that Traffic dept will begin a mission for insurance of vehicles with the key-point of ‘compansation-giving’.
"More 25 % accident rates should be decreased in Tripura", said Tarnikanti.
